[흥부듀오: 경기장을 그리는 두 예술가]

요즘 축구 팬들의 주말 아침은 하나의 예술 공연을 기다리는 설렘으로 시작된다. 시차 16시간, 거리 10,000km. 그 먼 미국 서부 캘리포니아에서 울려 퍼지는 손흥민과 드니 부앙가의 ‘흥부 듀오’ 플레이 때문이다.

‘흥부 듀오’는 팬들이 붙인 별명이다. 손흥민의 ‘흥’, 부앙가의 ‘부’. 겉보기엔 이름의 조합처럼 보이지만, 이들은 서로의 존재를 통해 빛나는 예술적 협업의 상징이다. 두 공격수는 서로의 움직임을 읽고, 공간을 창조하며, 마치 하나의 드로잉처럼 경기를 그려낸다.

Heung-Bu Duo: Two Artists Who Paint the Pitch

These days, football fans begin their weekend mornings with the anticipation of an art performance. A 16-hour time difference, a distance of 10,000 kilometers—yet from faraway California on the western coast of the United States, the play of Son Heung-min and Dénis Bouanga, known as the “Heung-Bu Duo,” resonates like a symphony.

“Heung-Bu Duo” is a nickname coined by fans—“Heung” from Heung-min and “Bu” from Bouanga. On the surface, it may seem like a simple name mashup, but it symbolizes a radiant artistic collaboration. These two forwards read each other’s movements, create space, and sketch the match like a single drawing.

In their last three matches, they’ve combined for 12 goals—numbers that carry meaning beyond statistics. Each goal is a trace of collaboration, the result of artistic intuition. Their dribbles draw lines, and their finishing shots become dots on those lines. Their movements transcend time and space, turning the pitch into a living canvas.
